Afghan Exit For US In Iraq? Sudani Vows To Expel Coalition Forces Amid Drone Strike, Iran Pressure

As the US struggles to control power in the Middle East, Baghdad has started the process of removing the US-led military coalition in Iraq. On January 5, Iraqi PM Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani said he is determined to “put an end“ to the international anti-jihadist coalition w in the country “permanently”. Hassan Nasrallah, the chief of the Iran-backed Hezbollah militant group, also welcomed Iraq’s move to end US Presence in the country. The Iraqi PM’s statement came just a day after a US strike killed a pro-Iran commander and another member of Harakat al-Nujaba.
