RBX “Rough Is The Texture“ (1995 Premeditated Records)

A former guest on HipHopSlam Pirate Fuckin’ Radio at the time of this release, Long Beach’s RBX sometimes stylized as . (standing for Reality Born Unknown) - deserved to blow up way bigger than he did. The cousin of Snoop Dogg, he had a very distinctive voice and flow and (like so many talented rappers in hip-hop history) was totally slept on. This track is the regular version but the 12“ single (as seen at end of video) contained the Whole 9 remixes that were done in the Bay Area in Oakland and Antioch studios.
