Leather duffle tutorial

In this leather working tutorial we will be hand crafting a leather duffle bag using one of our patterns. It’s perfectly sized for medium travels and suitable to be taken on flights as hand luggage. We made this frothy coffee looking bag for our trips and you can download the pattern at or but read on for a bit more info. - The bag measures about 550 x 330 x 280 mm ( ~22 x 13 x 11 inches ) and the main strap is adjustable in an approximately 300 mm range. - We used 2 - 3 mm ( 6 - 7 oz ) vegetable tanned leather of which about 1 square meter ( 12 square feet ) was needed. - A 500 mm zipper was used for the main compartment closing and two additional 300 mm long zippers went in closing the side pockets. - In addition to the zippers, five 40 mm ( inner size ) D-rings are needed to complete this project. - The tools we used can be seen in this video so I won’t go over them here.
