Freezing rain led to ice build up on most if not all surfaces. The weight of the ice took a toll on many trees and branches, causing them to break. Some power lines were also taken out by the weight of the ice, leaving residents in the dark. Trees can also be seen leaning on power lines, causing sparks and smoke. Travel is very dangerous across the area, with icy roads.
