Patrick Lyoya laid to rest surrounded by grieving family

Patrick Lyoya was laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Wyoming on Friday, April 22, 2022. “God created you and he decided to take you away from us.“ Peter Lyoya, Patrick’s father, said at the grave. “But I have faith that one day we will meet and see each other.“ Patrick Lyoya was shot in the back of the head and killed by a Grand Rapids police officer on April 4, 2022 during a struggle after a traffic stop.
