Draken Harald Hårfagre: A Viking Ship at Mystic Seaport

In late April 2016, the crew of the Draken Harald Hårfagre set off from her home port in Norway to recreate the transatlantic voyage the Vikings took some 1,000 years earlier. Having sailed through the Great Lakes and down the Erie Canal, the clinker-built Viking longship is now docked at Mystic Seaport, where her crew repairs sails and rigging and enthralls visitors with tales of their journey.
