Trainspotting around Yorkshire Dales - Selside, Ribblehead & Settle | August 2021

An whole week of staycation holiday time at one of the UK most beautiful national parks, the Yorkshire Dales which comes with the famous Settle-Carlisle line, plenty of opportunities of getting some great footage of rail movements. This line primarily has services ran by Northern Trains between Leeds and Carlisle all operated by the same type of unit; but this being in the middle of August meaning Rail Charter Services were going full swing with their Staycation Express train which this year was a refurbished HST set. Plus, there were plenty of freight movements; what’s more, this line has been well-known enough for having many rail tours running up and down it, with this film featuring ‘The Waverley’ that happened on 15th August ran by Navy Class 35018 Steamer while Royal Scot Class 46115 ‘Scots Guardsman’ did ‘The Dalesman’ Lancaster and Carlisle on 17th August.
