DARPA’s Moon Economy: kickstarting a commercial lunar economy by 2035 with LunA-10!
DARPA wants to kickstart a commercial lunar economy. Its LunA-10 project will develop an architecture to support a self-sufficient lunar economy by 2035. Given DARPA’s major past successes in technology development (such as the internet), this could stimulate space development, complementing NASA’s focus on science and exploration. 14 companies were selected for a 7 month phase I project.
