While out in Portland, Oregon last fall, I had the pleasure of finally meeting Marcus Fischer in person. In the flesh. In real life. We share many friends and many of the same loves of music and sound and inevitably the machinery for such music and sound. Fun fact: Marcus went to high school with Summer.
Marcus’s body of work capture both the visual and aural senses on a gentle terrain which can often hold the ears of its listeners quietly still. He is currently attending the Robert Rauschenberg Residency creating such important pieces like (Words of Concern) which serves as a kind of assertion of anxious relief.
