Fritz von Opel flies first jet in 1929

More info at: Frankfurt’s Rebstock Airfield. Fritz von Opel successfully launches and flies the world’s first jet. Powered by 11 rockets packed in the back of his airplane, von Opel flies an estimated 150 kilometers per hour about 25 meters above ground for 80 seconds.
