Winter is a time of plenty for Australian flying-foxes provided we have had good rains through the summer months and recent cold weather to stimulate flowering in certain species.
Fortunately, we are heading for a bumper winter season which will see plentiful flowering and hopefully flying-foxes staying up in the trees and out of trouble.
South East Queensland hosts many Grey-headed flying-fox visitors who travel up from southern states each year to enjoy natures bountiful buffet.
