Reuniting a Lost Baby Bat with her Mother. This little girl is a baby black flying fox found hanging on an agave plant in a suburban garden in the morning, crying for her mother. Only four weeks old, she’d fallen off her mum the previous night and there was nowhere Mum could land to pick her up. She was bright, healthy, uninjured - just a little thirsty, so I decided to try reuniting her with her mother that night. Although she was totally adorable and would have been a joy to raise, the best place for her to be was back with her mother.
