SpaceX rocket launch to the moon | 15 February 2024
A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch a new private lunar lander to the moon for the company Intuitive Machines and NASA today - the latest commercial mission to the moon.
Among the items on its lander, the IM-1 mission carries NASA science and technology instruments focusing on plume-surface interactions, space weather/lunar surface interactions, radio astronomy, precision landing technologies, and a communication and navigation node for future autonomous navigation technologies.
Launch is scheduled for 0557GMT.
