Mischa Blanos - Piano Session in D Moll - RKI Berlin

The concept of a Piano Session is a full-length concert of about one hour, performed without any pause between pieces. It is conceived as a whole-body performance and it is a musical experience in itself. One hour if uninterrupted solo piano could be weary, but this piece of music moves from acoustic to electronic sounds, blends tuneful themes with electronic beats and spacey ambient sounds. The show expresses a fine-tuned scale of dynamics, from pianissimo and forte, calmness and frenzy all together. The pianist displays fast finger technique, while the mixture of force and sensibility leaves one speechless. It’s hard to pinpoint the musical genre of this Piano Session, as it draws influences from classical music, jazz, electronic music, experimental, ambient.
