You still cannot find much on this art here in youtube. So I like to change this a little. As you can see.
This art is quite old but seems very unknown to the western martial arts community. Another name for it Mian Zhang (Cotton Boxing ). This is a term which has become popular in combination with Taiji or inner styles.
According to the existing info on that style the earliest records on it are from Ming Dynasty in the text “Jixiao Xinshu“ from Qi Jiguang which mentioned the Miangzhang Duanda as a very effective Martial Art.
As far as I understand it the art consists of 8 very short sets and originally had 12 to 16 art itself has become rare and nearly extinct
Well what can you say else on the style ?Its contrary to Chang Quan for example. It uses narrow strikes and narrow stances and also only emphasis very simple techniques.
Maybe I can get some more info on it because it has also some weapon sets.
Any comments are appreciated.
