Hi everyone,
this was intended to be the final video in the mini series on how to make a Yubinuki ( Japanese thimble ring) but unfortunately it failed to load properly onto Youtube and the tail end of the video was lost but not to worry, there is another video for you.
In the video I am actually stitching the my chosen design on the Yubinuki. I also show how to make a Yubinuki knot, change threads, finish off your stitching plus a couple of other tips and tricks for good measure along the way.
This was my first foray into making a Yubinuki and it has been wonderful fun. Definitely not the sharp learning curve I thought it was going to be. I am thrilled at how my rings have turned out and I’ll certainly be experimenting with different threads, weights and colours from here on in. I think I’m hooked on creating these.
