Zeke’s Grandparents’ Final Scene

Spoilers to anyone who hasn’t seen the new part of AoT. If you want to watch it, you can watch it on , Crunchyroll and Hulu. I wanted to post this because I still haven’t seen anyone talk about Zeke’s grandparents in this since the newest part came out yesterday. I always wondered what happened to them. It makes sense that they would be arrested after Marley learned of Zeke’s betrayal, and they wouldn’t have been able to get released since everyone there would have been too preoccupied with trying to escape the Rumbling. The Rumbling scene in this episode was beautifully animated and really showed the despair, terror, and horror the Rumbling causes and the people of Marley felt. The shot where the guy shoots himself, the moment with the people around the car, and where people are burning alive stand out the most to me. I knew the Rumbling animated would look crazy good and they’d add some stuff to it to make it longer, but MAPPA really exceeded my expectations with this. I love AoT.
