10-20: Berlin

In August of 1993 the first World Bicycle Messenger Championship was held in Berlin, Germany. Riders from all around the world participated, including a motley team of Canadian bike couriers, mostly based out of Toronto. While only two made it to the final race, the Canucks proved to be the life of the three day party, holding their own against New York City’s X-men, Markus and his crew from San Fransisco, and the indomitable Europeans, who cleaned up on race day.
