Checkpoint Charlie - Grüß Gott mit hellem Klang (1970)Germany,Krautrock Checkpoint Charlie were a German politico-prog-rock meets theatre outfit mostly active during the 1970’s and early 1980’s. Rivals of Floh De Cologne, but with a very different approach, Checkpoint Charlie were much more angst and proto-punk in a way. Their private press debut LP is well-known as one of the most challengingly angry records of Krautrock. After that they refined their style along similar lines to Oktober on their next 3 albums I dont know what they say because they sing in german most of time but seems like anti religious proto punk band, in the way of birth control, its fine but usually these type of bands sympatized with proto woke ideologies from the era, anyway its a cool proto punk, what i cant stant is christian rock (except if its blues or country) they should have released an instrumental version of the album A1 Nancartan 00:00 A2 Jesus A3 Geschichte Von Herrn Müller I B1 Geschichte Von Herrn Müller II 18:36 B2 Das Arme Waisenkind Bass – Harald Linder Guitar – Malte Bremer, Werner Walten Lyrics By [Texte] – Uwe v.
