Leviathan’s Alek and Deryn - If It Kills Me

So, to anyone who hasn’t read Scott Westerfeld’s Leviathan series, this probably looks like a video about two guys. However, the blond “boy“ is actually a young Scottish girl named Deryn Sharp who has to disguise herself as a boy to join the British air force in a steampunk version of World War I. She is in love with her best friend, fugitive Austro-Hungarian Prince Alexander Ferdinand. The only problem is... Alek has no idea she’s a girl. So basically, the two have the most adorably awkward romance, and I thought that this song (“If It Kills Me“ by Jason Mraz) fit them perfectly. And I noticed that there were no videos in their honor yet, so I wanted to be the first.
