The Wretched of the Earth by Frantz Fanon, first published in French in 1961 and in English in 1963. For more: Göran Olsson’s Concerning Violence (2014) is an excellent documentary on African decolonisation and anti-imperialism that uses Fanon’s work to narrate African nationalist and independence movements throughout the ’60s and ’70s.
