PROGRAM: Johann Sebastian Bach (1675-1750) “St. Matthew Passion,“ BWV 244 (1727) Part I and Part II Music Director Nathalie Stutzmann presents one of the great masterpieces of all time: J. S. Bach’s “St. Matthew Passion“ — a sacred oratorio composed for Good Friday, 1727. The “St. Matthew Passion“ has been a hallmark of Maestro Stutzmann’s career, first as a celebrated contralto and now as a conductor. Maestro Stutzmann joins the world-renowned Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in welcoming an international lineup of vocalists and the Spivey Hall Children’s Choir to round out the full breadth of this unforgettable program.
