Markian Frolov: Prelude, Op.2/2

Markian Frolov (1892-1944) - Soviet composer , pianist, Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1944). Born 1892 in Bobruisk in the family of an employee. In 1921 he graduated from the Kiev Conservatory , in 1924 from the St. Petersburg Conservatory . The piano class was held by N. N. Poznyakovskaya , F. M. Blumenfeld , the composition class by S. S. Bogatyrev and R. M. Gliere. Since 1924, he began concert and teaching activities at the Kiev Conservatory and the Music and Drama Institute. From 1928 to 1934 he taught piano and theoretical subjects at the Sverdlovsk Music College , in 1934-1937 and 1943-1944 he was the director of the Sverdlovsk Conservatory , from 1935 he headed the composition department. He performed with the orchestra conducted by Palitsyn at the Sverdlovsk Opera and Ballet Theater and many others. He performed classical works by R. Schumann , F. Liszt , F. Chopin , A. N.
