Chicken tikka masala
Ingredients Quantity
Chicken breast boneless ½ kg
Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp 2tbsp
Red chili powder 1 ½ tsp 2 ½ tsp
Lemon juice 1no.
Salt to taste to taste
Kasuri methi 1tsp 1tsp
Black pepper 1tsp
Coriander powder 1tsp 2tbsp
Yoghurt 2tbsp 1tbsp
Oil 1tbsp 3-4 tbsp 1tbsp
Carom seeds ½ tsp
Gram flour 1tbsp
Mustard oil 1 ½ tbsp
Garam masala 1tsp
Cumin seeds 1tsp
Onions chopped 2no.
Tomatoes chopped 4no.
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Water 1cup as required
Ginger juliennes 1tsp
Green chilies 2-4 no.
Fresh cream ½ cup
Coriander for garnish.
Method
1. First cut the chicken breast in to tikka pieces and keep aside.
2. Now in a bowl add ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, and lemon juice, salt to taste, kasuri methi, black pepper, coriander powder, yoghurt, chicken pieces and keep aside.
3. Now in a pan add oil, carom seeds and gram flour and cook till the flour is sautéed properly.
4. Now add the gram flour paste in the chicken bowl, mustard oil, garam masala and mix it properly, let the marinated chicken rest for 20-25mins.
5. Now in a kadai add oil, cumin seeds, onion chopped and saute till the onions are brown in colour.
6. Once the onions are brown, add ginger garlic paste and saute for 2mins.
7. Now add chopped tomatoes and saute again by adding salt, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, yoghurt and saute it properly.
8. Now add water in the gravy and cover it with lid and let it cook on slow flame.
9. Now take the chicken and add it in the skewers in line.
10. Keep the gravy aside once done.
11. Now take the grill pan add oil and keep the chicken skewers in it and cook from all the sides properly.
12. Once done keep side.
13. Now take the gravy pan, add water and chicken tikka, ginger juliennes, green chili slit, fresh cream, kasuri methi and mix it properly.
14. Let it cook for 2 mins and the dish is ready.
15. Serve hot in a bowl and garnish it with coriander.
