Blazar Nero Adapter, 40mm Voigtlander, with RS3 Pro Lidar Autofocus

A few test shots of the Blazar Nero anamorphic adapter whilst out for a coffee date. Pairing it with a single coated 40mm Voigtlander Classic (at F1.4!), Sony FX6, and DJI RS3 Pro. Using the DJI Lidar Auto focus module here and very impressed with how well it tracks focus! Super pleased with the images out of the Blazar, definitely very characterful, particularly on wider lenses. It shows prominent barrel distortion, field curvature, and cateyeing - all which goes to make it feel more like a 2x scope than a scope. Sharpness is good too, even at F1.4 here, but is heavily dependant on the taking lens. Also interesting to note that it doesn’t flare anywhere near as easily as most other “budget” anamorphic solutions on the market and the flares it does show are much mure subdued, which means that the flare-characteristics of the taking lens become much more important and allow for some fun combinations.
