Satellite Gamelan

The satellite gamelan app plays excerpts of music composed in a 10-note microtonal scale created from five harmonics using a method devised by contemporary tuning theorist Erv Wilson. Textures have been created solely by superimposing sine waves played in various scale transpositions. The app owes a debt to the work of several composers; firstly, it uses harmonically tuned variants of software instruments devised by Jean-Claude Risset; secondly, it is sequenced using Csound composition software devised by B
