Wonderful encounter with a wild margay cat

While staying at Arenal Observatory Lodge in Costa Rica we were hoping to see this elusive small cat. And we weren’t disappointed when it turned up outside the staff canteen one morning. However we didn’t anticipate it would be sitting above us when we went to look for it! Such a beautiful cat with magnificent markings, and well known to the cook, it would seem! Although it hadn’t been seen for 3 weeks before our arrival.
