MYSTERIOUS EDIACARAN ORGANISMS - Rangeomorphs

A short 3D animated clip created by 3D Epix Animation Studio about mysterious organisms that lived in the oceans during the Ediacaran period 570 million years ago near what is now Newfoundland Canada and Ediacara Hills, Australia. Scientists are still debating what these creatures were: animals, fungi, lichens, or plants. Their bodies branched into fractal modules and these organisms are collectively called Rangeomorphs. The clip features the most iconic creatures from Avalon Biota assemblage (named after the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland, where most of these fossils have been discovered): Charnia, Bradgatia, Fractofusus, and Trepassia.
