Ex-Speaker John Bercow says that Labour is the ’only credible vehicle’ to remove Tory government, in his first broadcast since joining the party. Sky News Mr Bercow said there was ’no barter, no trade, no deal’ for a peerage after his defection to Labour, as former speakers do not typically take a party political role.
