Ausum - Bone Dust (full album, 2023)

Last week I posted a video of the cassette of Ausum’s Bone Dust, and today I am very pleased to present the album in full, for the second feature in this weeks; Dungeon Synth Sunday. Following the meditative fantasy themes of Moss Troll, Ausum offers a more earthier, darker resonant form of drone; building us towards the decaying grandeur of the concluding album later today. Gently corrupted shapes shift through the murky ambience of these tracks, in an album the artist says is “recorded using the modulated sonification of human bones”. With that in mind, the wraiths haunting the layers of drones take a sinisterly tangible essence, enhancing the depth of these pieces as gusts of echoing reverbed noise, mournful eddies of melody, and occasional shimmers of light reveal themselves.
