A brief look into the journey of Pridebowl from their new beginnings.
Thanks for watching!
Hostage, written by Aaron Goulding (Pridebowl), is a song about our current state of reality. Like most of Aaron’s songs, even though living through some sort of turmoil, manages to find the positive in the journey. The song title was thought up during a filming of Aaron’s hostage video for Red Bridge Fest where they act out that Vincent Bussieres, the event organizer from Red Bridge Fest, has been holding Aaron hostage for 20 years until he performed at his festival. Aaron’s only request was, “Poutine”. It was only fitting to announce a new song while also letting the world know that Pridebowl would be performing live for the first time in over 20 years.
At the end of the capture, while being dragged away by his only leg, he muttered, “Hostage”. Since the announcement, the band only had a couple months to write and record the single. Not an easy feat with band members on 4 different continent
