Here’s the 360º camera I use: This is the main building in Shenzhen’s famous Huaqiangbei- pretty much paradise for Makers and electronic geeks. Even though the electronics are generally for wholesalers and factories, I get a lot of the parts for my projects here since they are usually willing to sell one or two of something. If people like this video I’ll make more of the other markets in the area. Sorry this is just my hobby, I can’t help you with finding or sourcing specific parts in China. More about Huaqiangbei and Shenzhen: The video is not great but at the moment spherical video is a tradeoff between camera size and video quality. It’s quite difficult to shoot in HQB as the markets do not allow you to take photos or video and are quite aggressive about stopping people. This means I need something small and unobtrusive, and I need to hold it in a casual way by my side as if it’s not being used- which is why the video jumps as it automatically tries to re-level. Any 360 camera large enough to shoot nice video the security guards would most likely not allow me in with and certainly would stop me from using fairly quickly. There are a lot of new 360 cameras being released in the next few months so I’ll keep an eye out for something better if I can afford it. Negative comments about the video quality are unhelpful and discouraging.
