Blutschwur (US) - Those of My Blood (Album 2023)

The debut full-length from this great American act is finally upon us. Following up to the excellent “Demonstration des Triumphs“ and the “Ancestral Might“ split, with Mäleficentt, the project is back fiercely as ever with its first album release in “Those of My Blood“. Stoic and combatant Black Metal that withstands all opposition, Blutschwur marches towards the firmament with pride in their arms and wisdom in their blood against modernity and its false prophets. Half-an-hour of unforgiving militancy and idealism for a past that shall not be forgotten, Blutschwur crafts a extraordinary assault of Black Metal in the likes of Wolfnacht, Goatmoon or central European hordes such as Absurd, Graveland and Bilskirnir, mixed in with elements of Punk and Oi!, particularly in tracks like “Vengeance“ or the title track. Definitely a recent highlight, put out to physical formats through excellent labels, namely Final Agony, in charge of the LP version. Cassette edition shall come out in June via Death Hymns, with an exclusive UK edition to come out through Rabbid-Attack Corps.
