Fearless Fretless Bass Grooves

Here are some fun fretless grooves with slides, chords, vibrato and other funky things you can do with a fretless! I’m playing a Cortex bass with a single Nordstrand Dual Coil pickup, strung up with Ernie Ball Super Slinkys. The ramp I’m using here is made of the same spalted maple as the top, just using it for some sessions atm, can be taken on/off easily. I used 2 pedals: a Darkglass Hyper Luminal compressor and a Rodenberg 707b booster, no plugins or digital processing. The signal was recorded with an Eich T-1000 head straight into a Focusrite Scarlett into my laptop, drums were made with Addictive Drums in Cubase, mastering with Ozone 9.
