1879 Winchester Hotchkiss test fire (45-70)

Test firing a build I salvaged from bubba. 405gr 45-70. (Trapdoor pressures) The rifle was found in a rusted, broken and barrel chopped state. Things I’ve done: muzzle recrowned Added an 1896 krag rear sight Added a front sight dovetail and post 1884 trapdoor sight hood pinned Shaped a broken salvaged stock and piled with BLO added an ebony forend tip Freefloated the barrel Bedded the tang (which so happens to be the recoil lug) Fixed the sear from decocking itself If it were possible to restore this, I would have but a cool custom like this is the next best thing.
