Baron Caterpillar (Euthalia aconthea) Facts | A poisonous but Gorgeous worm
Baron Caterpillar is native to India and South East Asia. It has evolved to be very well camouflaged on green leaves to hide itself from predators. Euthalia aconthea, the common baron, often called simply baron, is a medium-sized butterfly. When viewed against a plain background, this creature is hard to miss. Bright green in colour, it has a yellowish line running along its back. Its body is covered in a mesh of green, feathery bristles that give it an alien-like appearance.
