CVP VetFuel: Landing on your feet: Navigating New Environments in the Veterinary Profession

We are pleased to partner with Not One More Vet for this VetFuel presented by Dr. Erika Lin-Hendel, VMD, PhD. This program explores some of the common challenges new graduates face when entering the veterinary profession as well as people shifting areas within the profession. Distinctions between student life in veterinary academic institutions to being doctors in various types of practice are highlighted, and the shifts that may be required for success are reviewed. Concepts focusing on evaluating practice culture, communication and team dynamics are introduced in addition to how individual doctors contribute to that culture. Lastly, mental health management from the lens of the new graduate or during times of change are emphasized as well as strategies to reduce burn out.
