Józef Nowakowski: Mazurka, Op. 26 No. 3 (1847) - Piano with Sheet Music
A pleasant mazurka by the Polish pianist, composer and teacher Józef Nowakowski (1800-1865).
Nowakowski was a contemporary of Chopin and studied in Warsaw during the same years as Chopin, which is when they became close friends. It is therefore not surprising that much of Nowakowski’s work is influenced by Chopin, and in some cases even published through Chopin. Nowakowski predominantly wrote piano music among which approximately 60 mazurkas, but also Polish songs, instrumental chamber music and symphonic music.
The current mazurka is the third of a collection of four mazurkas for piano opus 26 published in 1847.
All my videos are live recordings of me playing on a Casio Celviano Grand Hybrid GP-500.
The use of headphones is recommended for a better listening experience.
Please note I am not a professional pianist and I record and make these videos in my spare time for fun, as I greatly enjoy playing and exploring the vast repertoire of lesser known piano composers througho
