Iran ‘Obligated’ to Defend Itself After Israeli Strikes Kills Two Soldiers

Israel launched multiple “precise and targeted” airstrikes on Iran on Saturday in retaliation to a missile barrage from Iranian forces earlier this month. The Israeli military targeted military facilities located in Tehran, Khuzestan and Ilam provinces. The Iranian army said two soldiers had died while “battling projectiles”, according to state media. Its foreign ministry also condemned the attack and said Iran is “entitled and obliged to defend itself”.
