Sarkis Dkhrouni was an Armenian socialist and member of the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party (SDHP, sometimes referred to as the Socialist Democratic Hunchakian Party). He was born in Sis, Cilicia and following the occupation of Cilicia by the Kemalists he left for Syria where he continued his activism. He was jailed by the French Occupation forces in Syria, most likely due to the Hunchakian party’s support for Syrian rebellion against the French Occupation. When he was released in 1928, he moved to Beirut and continued his work with the SDHP. He was assassinated in 1929. #mourzho #SDHP #Hunchak #music
