This beautiful composition was a big hit in Mina’s vocal version back in 1972, especially in her homeland Italy. (The song remained on the no1 position for several weeks). Soon after, English lyrics were added and Dame Shirley Bassey scored a major hit in the US, Britain and Australia under the title “Never Never Never“. Recently, Celine Dion and Luciano Pavarotti recorded a great version which was released as “I hate you then I love you“.
Here, Botticelli (a man who’s identity is a bit ’hazy’ as not much information can be found about him) brings us this marvellous orchestral score with great strings and a fine orchestration in general.
