Steeleye Span - “The Hard Times Of Old England“

Since forming in 1969 Steeleye Span have been worming into your conciousness. It’s taken over 50 years but they will not give up until you get out of your chair and witness them live. I did. This song is one Francis Rossi of Status Quo recently recorded with them on their reworked version from the “Green Man Collection“ which is/was released on 01/12/2023 in the UK. Maddie said what a decent chap he is. This line-up of the band is remarkable for their musicianship and you can tell they still just love performing. Julian Litman’s guitar work is always a joy and when he’s not with SS he plays with the amazing Charlie Dore. As Robert Palmer sang, some guys have all the luck.
