Beck 904 GTS is a Tasteful Tribute to a Legendary Porsche

With a host of American and European classics at home in his garage, John Mathys was after something different in his new track-day car. It had to be something vintage, fast, reliable and capable of drawing some serious attention. That’s when Mathys first saw Beck’s 904 GTS wide-body competition model, a stunning adaptation of Porsche’s original 904 racer, and he knew this was it. In it’s completed form, Mathys’ car is the first production wide-body competition model built by Beck and Special Edition. It’s powered by a 911 engine punched out to 3.4 liters, and a Porsche 915 transaxle puts the power to the wheels. Output is estimated to be 290 hp, more than sufficient in a 1,700-pound car. Randy at Special Edition built the custom wheels, Fuchs centers with BBS halves, and the seats were done by Stefan Schleissing from GTS Classics. All in, Mathys was more than impressed by the quality and driving experience offered by his new 904 GTS.
