The life span of the Kalyan raag is very long and one may play or sing Yaman, for instance, at any time between seven or eleven in the evening. As a result there is a considerable overlapping between evening and night ragas. This volume features raga Shuddh Kalyan sung by Padma Talwalkar. Hariprasad Chaurasia renders raga Manjh Khamaj on the flute. The volume concludes with the vocal rendition of raga Durga, a morning raga, by Rajan and Sajan Mishra.
