NF/STEM Book Review: SECRETS OF THE SEA

What’s so cool about this book about naturalist Jeanne Power written by Evan Griffith, illus. Joanie Stone? First, it shows kids that we can do lots of different things with our lives (Power is a dressmaker turned naturalist). And it reveals how everything we do contributes to our work. Plus, the book features a scientist doing hands-on science, including coming up with hypotheses, conducting experiments, and drawing conclusions. There are such great STEM and NGSS connections!
