Footage: Fire engulfs motorcyclist after truck crash in southeast China

The quick reaction of a truck driver, his companion and passersby saved the life of a motorcyclist, who crashed into and ignited the fuel tank of a dump truck on Saturday in Nanchang, capital of southeast China’s Jiangxi Province. Surveillance video footage of the accident shows the motorcyclist, surnamed Chen, trying to stop before crashing into the dump truck, which was making a left turn onto the road. However, Chen was unable to stop, and collided with the truck’s fuel tank, which immediately caught on fire. The truck driver, Yang Juyong then called for local firefighters and medical assistance for Chen. Chen was sent to a nearby hospital, where doctors said his injuries were not life threatening.
