British tycoon Mike Lynch missing after ‘tornado’ sinks superyacht in Italy

Mike Lynch’s 18-year-old daughter Hannah is among the six people missing in the superyacht sinking, The Telegraph understands. The British tech entrepreneur was celebrating with guests from the legal firm Clifford Chance and his own company Invoke Capital after he was cleared of fraud. Italian media reported that Angela Bacares, Mr Lynch’s wife, told doctors that her husband and daughter were missing. La Repubblica said Bacares is using a wheelchair as abrasions on her feet that were sustained in the sinking prevent her from walking. She had bandages on other parts of her body. The newspaper said that she told doctors that at 4am the boat tilted and she and her husband woke up. At first, they were not worried but then there was a scene of confusion as glass shattered.
