大和型戦艦は、大日本帝国海軍が建造した戦艦。日本で建造された最後の戦艦艦型でもある。戦艦としての排水量、搭載主砲口径ともに世界最大。 1番艦「大和」と2番艦「武蔵」が戦艦として竣工。3番艦「信濃」は対米戦の戦局に合わせて設計変更され航空母艦として竣工した。4番艦111号艦(紀伊)は1942年に建造中止となり解体された。 The Yamato class battleship was built by the Imperial Japanese Navy. It was also the last battleship type built in Japan. It is the world’s largest battleship in terms of both water capacity and the caliber of its main guns.
