released April 22, 2016 X3D5 is a project by Vitaly Stromchinsky from Volgograd, Russia. He is also known for his Eternal Return Records label and recent collaborations with renowned band Noises of Russia. Primarily based in post-industrial aesthetics, the music of X3D5 varies from minimalistic drone soundscapes to heavy rhythmic structures and glitching digital noise. On this release, Vitaly stays focused on slowly evolving dronescape, which is carefully decorated with tiny details and subtle noises. The bonus track, recorded with the participation of fellow Volgograd’s project Vehjora and Denys Rylov (Noises of Russia), continues this flow in more ritualistic and, at some point, even cathartic manner, featuring the narration of the alchemical text. Precise and focused as a scalpel, this music opens previously unseen aspects of reality.
