What’s the oldest festive song in English with music notation?
Sainte Nicholaes, by St Godric of Finchale. One of the three (possibly four, depending on how you read the manuscript!) oldest known songs in English, for which music notation has survived.
The notation is found in British Library Royal MS. 5, f. vii, fol. 85r.
